As many of you have seen, I recently bought some Cobalt SS Red/Black seats. Well, I didn't see any how-to's on this so I thought I'd post it up! Cuz I sure as hell had no idea on how to do this until I had a closer look and read a couple places online... This had been the first time I'd taken seats out!

Degree of difficulty:
EASIER THAN IT LOOKS!!!

Tools needed:
- Flat tip screw driver... or any screw driver.
- Your Hands
- 13mm socket (for head rests)

The steps/pictures are as follows:

Back part of the seat:
1) Pop-trunk, and pull the latches to drop the back seats
2) Drop the seats
3) While the seats are down, push your screw driver into tab as shown below, and pull up/towards/back out of the area to get that side of the seat out:
1473
4) Repeat same with other side:
1474
5) The above steps will jarr the sides loose, then you need to actually pop them out. To do so, just simply, slide the seat away from the middle and it should come loose and come out of where it was seated from the middle:

Bottom part of the seat:
For the bottom part/sitting part of the seat, what you need to do to pop them out is you must set your hands on the front part of either end of the seat, push it towards the back of the car & push up. It'll pop right out without any effort. (Sorry, didn't take pics of that!!)

Last but not least, the head rests:

1) pop-up the plastic pieces that cover your head rest bolts.
1477

2) use a 13mm socket/wrench to remove or move up the bolts higher so you can work the head rest out.
1478

3) If you only loosened the bolts, give a little force and pull towards yourself without knocking yourself off your knees. It'll pop out.
1479

If you unbolted all the way, with the bracket attached to the head rest, here is how it looks:
1480

So what can that be used for? Weight reduction, changing seats, pulling your seats out clean them, pull them out to put subs in, etc.

Hope this helped anyone!
