so im with a few of my lady friends, and we meet up with a few of her guy friends... some rcih kid driving an IS.. right away he goes lets race ill spank that.. so we exchange a few words.. and off we go to the highway... do a pull from 55 mph i drop it into second.. and from 55 to about 120 i just take him and slowly pull away..
mind you we both each had 4 ppl in the car.. he was using paddle shifters and i am manual.. so i was happy with that outcome

Top speed in second gear is probably around 50. You'd be retarded to go into second at 55mph.

my second gear tops out at 60... so idk what ur talking about haha.. but then again i have an 08 GT.. so idk if the gears are differnt?

I was guestimating, but even then, wouldn't it have been better to start in third. I mean, our cars are great in 60 rolls because 60 is a sweet spot in third gear, so why not go from there?

well he just kept slowing down.. so i said hey why not drop it into second haha.. i mean i wanna say 55 roll it could have been less.. but i feel second gear just brings alot of power for me.. but then again. thats just me.. but all that mattters is that i beat him lol

i found in my car from like a 40-50 roll is great on my car. thats my sweet spot

For that speed, 3rd gear is my gear. On the 2.2L's, the gears top out quicker than the GT's do.

GT's have different gearing 55 is a 2nd gear. Even tho i do think a at that kinda speed 3rd you would have out pulled him also

i think racing w/ 4 ppl in each car no bueno for safety reasons. you get in a wreck thats 3 other people's lives in your hands. and 3 other people you are no responsible for if soemthign does happen

yeah, the weight difference is unbelievable. I can lose to a cavalier if i have ppl in my car. I dont race with ppl in my car anymore, too irresponsible. ( and way too slow ;) )

my power gear is second. but a drop from 5th to 3rd pulls hard too. but that's cause i was doing 90km/h
