Do you really need to wait for the second letter? I called my dealer up to book appointment for an oil change and they said they will get the recall work done at the same time. I have no second letter.

I finally got the second letter last week and it was completely useless. All it said was to go to your dealer (or A dealer) and get it done.

Why didn't you say that in the first letter?!

Exactly what im trying to say.. You dont need the second letter.. so long your dealer has the part in stock.. you can take your car in for the replacement.

Angry Steering

Mine failed 4 times yesterday, the first time with a driver with a learners permit!! Unless you've driven a car without power assist or driven an old classic car that didn't have power steering, it's rather an experience. Car will be going to the dealer tomorrow morning, 2nd letter or not. Hard to believe it has taken this long for people to get a second letter if they even got a 2nd one yet, which I haven't. I guess if there are no deaths they don't hurry. Just ask a Toyota owner.......................
