WTF Blue Lightning!!!
So I take my car out tonight just like any regular night. Go to steak n shake for a quick bite to eat and head on down to a local hang out to shoot some pool with some friends of mine. So i pull in the lot, park, then guess what happens!! The key is locked in the ignition with my car running!! I just spent these last 2 and a half hours trying to get it out and turned off but no luck!! I finally unplugged the battery and pulled the fuse to the fuel pump and it died in my driveway shortly after. But wtf man has this ever happened to any of you? Ironic thing is i just got a notice in the mail for me to bring my car in cause theres a recall on it. Wonder what its for!!

Recall is for the power steering... the issue with your key is something completely different.

Mine happened when I turned the car off the key wouldn't come out of the ignition. Dealer put a new lock cylinder in it.

So, guys in a pinch like this, Look under the steering wheel/column, there should be a small hole there. Stick a small screw driver in there and push on the white pin. This unlocks the key in the ignition. There are examples of this on Utube.
