Good evening all!

My GF has a 2008 G5 2.2L , I'm having issues with the A/C, and I'm noticing the cooling fan doesn't come on, even idling in the driveway. The dash reaches about 105C, and no fan. The two relays check ok, voltage at the terminals and when jumped the fan goes on high and low speed. I suspect the coil is bad on the A/C compressor. When the A/C is put on, should the cooling fan come on right away? What temp does the cooling fan turn on low and then high?

I'm going to check out the temp sending unit and a module on the fan housing.

Thanks for any help.

It's temp related so if the BCM senses that the temp is X, it will turn the fans on. If you're already swapped relays and fuses, check the wiring to the fan unit itself. I had to replace mine as the unit itself died, everything else was fine.

Thanks. I was wondering the temperature it would turn on at. Does selecting the A/C turn the cooling fan on or does there need to be pressure in the A/C system to turn the cooling fan on?
