System fully charged? Small structure on cooling fan frame, bottom driver side present? Mine had rusted away, causing no a/c when all else was good.

Evidently, the computer doesn't like what it sees comma and disables it, yet does not throw a code. Disconnecting the battery resets the computer making it forget whatever was wrong.

Sounds like something is shorting out. I'd test the fuse that goes to it (probably wont do much, or be the problem), but it's cheap and fairly easy to check. It could be the condenser. Not sure if these cars have driers installed in the A/C lines. It could be that, but I'm at a loss for ideas about what this could be.
