AC Delco used to be Hengst, apparently not anymore. Stick with Hengst, Mobile 1 long life, K&N. Most of the 'common' name brands (Purolator, Phram, etc) are junk; they collapse under flow. Pictured below is current AC Delco version, collapsed after 3K miles with dino oil. Shop gave me a free oil change with timing chain job. Replaced with better filter (box underneath) & synth oil.

The one pic is K&N after/before, the other is K&N after next to OE Hengst (AC Delco). This is 'no crush', something about the rate and/or volume of flow of oil in the EcoTec will cause cheap/base oil filters crush. Higher end filters withstand it.
