since you have a n auto maybe shake the shifter a bit or pull up on the brake pedal. while trying. or take it to the dealer.

since you have a n auto maybe shake the shifter a bit or pull up on the brake pedal. while trying. or take it to the dealer.Hi Guys,
I have an '08 G5 Automatic 4 cylinder. the cruise control stopped working last month and it does not say cuise engaged when I try to set it. I checked the manual but could not figure out if there is a fuse for it that might have blown. Does anybody know if there is one, or possibly what might be wrong? The car only has 17,000 KM on it so I'm surprised it stopped working so soon.
Hmm... possible.Did you check your cruise control fluid level?
Usually if there is a Check Engine light, it'll throw a code. I'm not sure if Canadian tire does free code reading like Autozone down here does.I haven't flashed the ECU at all. How do you check the trouble codes?
I'll probably call the dealer soon.
oh and the Cruise Control Fluid level is fine.![]()
No...pricks will do it for a lovely 75 Canadian funny money..I'm not sure if Canadian tire does free code reading like Autozone down here does.
Or you could put 3 Vietnamese ones in your trunk for free.Ouch. 75 bucks? Damn... I could rent a H-haul and 20 hookers to put in the river for that.
Yeah, but driving the G5 into the river would put me 15 grand in the hole, eh? The optional insurance on the U-Haul is much cheaperOr you could put 3 Vietnamese ones in your trunk for free.
And spend $75 dollars on slush mats for my Jeepeh![]()
thank you for posting this, it actually helped a lot! I had the same issue! 😊I know this is reviving an old thread, but I thought this could be useful as it took me some searching through other forums and youtube to get to my solution, at least. My cruise control also randomly stopped working, The orange light would say that CC is on, but nothing would set. I figured out that the 3rd brake light (CHMSL) had all 3 bulbs burnt out, and because of this, the whole CC system wouldn't enable, but as soon as I replaced the bulbs, the cruise control system returned to working correctly.
