Was running around some of the Cobalt forums and found an old thread about Oil Pans from different models being compatible.
I.E. I could put the LSJ 7Qt pan to replace my 5Qt LE5 pan. More Oil = Cheap Insurance
Other than the pan, does anyone here know what other parts I might need? I know someone ober there said about needing a different pick up tube or pump or something, but what parts/part #s would those be? Ik it's probably not a major difference in temps and such, just curious whether you guys think it'd be worth the time since itd be easy to do when I have to rip apart the front for a SC anyway

Pan and dipstick tube would be different.
Oil pump is in the front cover and the same for both models, not sure if there is even any kind of a pickup tube for it. hmmmmmm

Better insurance is a good oil filter that WON'T collapse under the flow demand. Pay extra money, get the high-end versions.
