I bought a 2008 G5 for my daughter. The car runs great, but the engine noise is really loud on the driver side. It almost sounds like there is missing insulation either in the foot-well or in the cowl area. Anyone ever come across this before? Is there a schematic of what noise insulation "should" be there?
I will check the rubber boot first thing when she gets home tomorrow. It's definitely not an exhaust leak. It sounds as if some insulation is missing, or there is an opening somewhere in the firewall.
Sorry for the late response Toolman. It was definitely the rubber boot. It was loose. Thanks for the info!!
