Hello all, I am new here. I just picked up this 2008 g5 gt and it needs some work. Looks like something may have chewed this plastic thing, there was some red fluid left over on the outside. Any ideas what the fluid is? I was going to jb weld the hole. Also I'm getting a vacuum leak code and the car smells like exhaust pretty bad. Any info helps, thanks!

Thats for your EVAP system. Replace it, Do Not JBWeld. Somebody more informed than me can tell you exactly what it is.
See those 2 hoses? They pull a vacuum through that box. Thats your code. You dont want to risk JB Weld particles making it into that, trust me.

Alright good cause I had to use a small piece of paper and crazy glue and made like a patch cause I don't have any jb weld 🤣 but why would there be what looked like a reddish oil coming out from the hole? That's not tranny fluid is it? It has a standard shifter knob thingy.

That is even worse. Take your vehicle to a reputable mechanic. That is the only advice I can give you for the prolonged life of your vehicle.
