My manual tranny 'blew' shy of 50k miles, no clue why. The one shaft put a hole in the case by the clutch. Never 'neutral dropped' it or anything. Replaced under warranty, the clutch to (was soaked in leaked tranny fluid).

oh wow! Fortunately my manual tranny is still working fine at 142,000 miles. I'm well out of warranty, so hopefully it continues to treat me well.

It's been a good car to me so far.

That's a lot of miles! I'm at 208,000 miles now. It uses a quart of oil over 15,000 miles now.
