I am sure this question has been asked many times, but I have only been a member for about a week and a half...

Hpw do I post pics?

I also tried to upload an avatar but all I got (before the forum fire) was the red x box...

What am I doing wrong?

I found the red x to be a problem with IE users.

As for posting pics you have to get an account with an image hosting provider.

Once your photo is uploaded to your account there they will provide you with code that you can use to direct link the image to the board.

This is as plain as I can leave it for you.

Start by getting an account at http://www.photobucket.com

upload your photos to the site.

Under each photo, you will see a couple options for linking.

copy the IMG one, and paste it in the forum. it will show up in your post.
