I was hoping to change my struts. I started by unbolting the stabilizer bar link from the strut tower. It came loose with a little snap, but now the nut and bolt spin together when I try to loosen them. (But if I turn it clockwise, they tighten back up like nothing ever happened. Go figure.)

When my new sway bar end links arrive, how the heck do I get these old things off?

There are two flats to get a wrench on the bolt if you squeeze a thin wrench between the rubber boot and the sway bar (or the strut, if you're working on the other end). They normally round out too... If that happens, you can try a vice grip on the bolt. When I changed mine, I couldn't hold it with a vice grip either. I ended up using a cutting torch to cut them off.
