Folks I need some help ..my daughter bought a 2008 G5 after having a month the Clutch went out. After mechanic put the new clutch in the end of the cable broke off. I have searched litteraly everywhere online dealerships etc. Has anyone had this happen? Here is the part number 25857595 it's hard to believe it's literally not available. I tried along with the Chevy dealer to cross reference without any luck. I found some places that said it was available but after ordering I would get email stating it is no longer available. I would think another cable would work but I'm not a mechanic. Please if any has experienced this or has a thought please let me know. I'm sure I could possibly find a junk one but hoping not to go that route. Ty

What exactly is this cable's function? Among other things, GM is notorious for using the same part across vehicles. It is at least feasible that another vehicle with a similar drive train might use a similar cable?

Check Rockauto, I just bought one for mine. It’s a 2.4 not sure if the others is the same.
