I just took off the mouldings on the doors, car looks way better. makes it flow alot more. i'll get some pics up in the morning

They don't. Only base's & SE's do.

What the hell is a door moulding? I'm looking at my pictures and my door looks just like your "moulding-free" door.

Door moldings are the strips that run down the door. Usually they are there the take the brunt of door dings.

You can see it in this picture, starting behind the little GM badge on the side:
