I decided to update the jeeps grille. $45 is much cheaper than the $300 for a stock plastic grille. Also got rid of the pinstripe on the side of it. Slowly improving it. It's getting a new cv axle, front brakes and rotors, and a rear center seat belt haha.

Crossed a milestone with the G5 haha. Also did some tweaking on the jeep. It needed a rear center seat belt and I made the center armrest look a little bit better.

Well the Jeep is a Lemon so I ended up trading it in along with the G5. I was able to lease a brand new Civic SI pretty cheap and get enough money on the trades to pay off the Jeep and my credit cards. I'm really going to miss the G5 :( I built that car over the years. It is nice to try out a new car though.

Last couple days:

Nice car! I bet you won't miss the G5 for long. Did you return anything to stock before trading it in? I would have bought that intake off of you. I'd rather have the GM performance than the Injen I have.

I left all the mods. I couldn't tear it apart. I got the Honda because it's the most fun new car I could afford. I was also able to get out of the Jeep debt free because the lease was for $0 down. It's just a bonus that it's a manual. It's a cheap, few frills, basic fun car. Nothing special but at least engaging enough.

the si is hands down one of the best small cars out right now. no other car will give you that level of options and power for that price.

im thinking of buying a new si coupe so i dont have to daily the jk anymore.

I wanted the coupe but the dealers in the region either already sold them or wouldn't give them up to my dealership. It's fine though. The 4 door costs $200 more MSRP but leases for $30 less a month. With $0 down my payment is only $283. My insurance is also about $15 cheaper a month than the g5 was. Between insuring 2 vehicles and paying for the jeep, this civic with insurance is about $15 cheaper a month. Not to mention it's new, reliable, and has full warranty the whole time I'm leasing it. Just basic maintenance on this car. Never thought I could get to this financial point after the shitty situation with that jeep. I'm happy with this deal.

I am loving the keyless entry and push button start. Don't have to take the keys out of my pocket. I did confirm my suspicion that the stiched portion of the dash was just the design of the plastic mould not thread. Haha what do you expect from a cheap car

Ugh...I miss this car. I wasn't feeling the Si anymore so I upgraded to the new 2016 EX-L. Its nice to have features again and not have boring black. The girl that bought my G5 had it for 6 months and damaged the rims, replaced them with horrible high school kid style rims, the rear bumper lip was falling off in one corner, the fog lights were punched in, and I wanted to cry a little haha. But I think this new civic has potential and I may buy it out at the end of the lease and modify it to my taste.

You got rid of an SI for an EX-L?

Im not sure I understand that logic!?

It sucks to see your old cars getting beaten up like that. I always regretting selling my first car when I saw the guy driving it around town every day. My G5 Im pretty sure is about the size of a pop can now.

Yeah, I liked the manual but this car is pretty quick and has a lot nicer interior and feels like a lot more thought was put into it. It feels much higher quality than the Si was. I'm a feature guy haha.

Just read the entire post, that was one nice G5! What a shame some kid ends up ruining it :/ I just got a G5 half a year ago and really want to replicate some of the mods you've done to it. Where did you learn to do all the mods and swaps that you did? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

i learned from reading this forum and the cobalt ss one. There is a lot of info on these sites. Just have to search for the mods you want to do. There are usually how to's for these.
