yes, i searched.

modded/tuned l61

i know there is always dispute about brands, but what is an acceptable brand? i dont want any fancy bullshit, just some damn spark plugs.

what should they be gapped at?

and i know how to get the coil packs out, but do i just unscrew the old spark plugs out, and the new ones in?

its pretty sad that ive done all the work to my car, but have never changed a spark plug.

You should be fine with what comes stock. You aren't boosting or spraying. No need to drop a step down. They do just unscrew, and new ones screw in. Dont do it while the engine is hot, you run the risk of stripping the head.

NGK VPower Copper Plugs.

Change them every 10,000 miles. $2 a plug.

Whatever dude, I take what you know with a grain of salt.

I have been running bosch since 2006....Post the prongs break I dare you.
Fuck you man. Seriously, fuck you.

If you've not had an issue with Bosch plugs, you got lucky. The Platinum + plugs are straight crap.

And they aren't called 'prongs', they're called side electrodes.

Plus, those are expensive. Just like iridium plugs.

Just buy NGK Coppers in a stock heat range and you'll be fine.

I tried a set of E3 plugs out of curiousity. The most noticable benefit was faster/easier starts. Slight increase in throttle response and MPG as well...15k and no problems.

Do you personally know one person who broke a bosch?
I have yet to hear one person say yes, its always "I heard".
Im sure Porshce Audi and gm use them in race applications cause they suck.
and yes you can never go wrong with the stock plugs.

this is why you change your plugs every 10 000m. you get what u pay for.
It's better than maying $8/iridium and changing them every 25-30k.

Plus I get hooked up on them, so it's like $2/set of 4. For me.
