I can’t figure out how to get the sound back.
I have an aftermarket stereo for the past two years, but I had this happen with the oem one as well. It used to happen occasionally, you can see songs playing and the Bluetooth will connect, but you can’t hear anything. Then out of nowhere it would be normal again. No pressing a button or anything. This happened for years. Now it’s been no sound for months. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Before I upgraded, there was no amp and the speakers were wired to the stereo. Now I wired my new speakers directly to the amp. No subwoofers.
I have been doing a lot of work lately and have had to disconnect the battery dozens of times and have also disconnected the old ecu and tried to learn a new ecu, with no luck.

Super late but
You probably have a bad connection somewhere, most certainly if potholes and bumps seem to affect it more. Try multimeter-ing some lines when it goes out again. If that doesn't lead to anything then I'd suggest a 2nd battery if you haven't already. Check fuses too, just incase

Thanks! I actually figured it out, I didn’t have it grounded good enough 😅
