Trunk cargo light not working

I went to change the bulb in the trunk of my car because it's pitch black when I go in at night, and when I put a new one in nothing happened. I was wondering if I was a fuse, switch, or wiring issue? I couldn't find any sort of switch, or anything in the fuse box in the passenger foot well. Any advice?

Is it an LED bulb? Some are polarized and must be socketed properly. If flipping the bulb doesnt work and the fuse isnt blown, Id check the position switch for the trunk. If it doesn't think the trunk is open, it wont turn on the light, but thatd be uncommon

I bought an led bulb tried both ways and then bought an incandescent that also didn't work. I looked for a position switch but I couldn't see one where is located?

I also looked for the right fuse but I couldn't tell which one it would be, the interior light, or the trunk/htd seat fuse. Neither are blown so I don't know if it's them either.
Does your trunk release button work? If not then it might be the actuator, from what I found that seems to be what tells the trunk if its open. If you get no 'Trunk Ajar' warning on the DIC with it popped, then I would replace it

The trunk release button in the left side cubby does work, but I'll have to check about the trunk ajar light. I will update once I do

No warning light appears when I attempt to drive with the trunk open. Sorry for the terribly late response
