yes the trunk was hard because of the base takes patience to cut it right. but like ghost said you get two to work with lol

ya and i tried to paint them w/ the GM paint. it's the paint applicator for chips and stuff like that it has a small brush and a pen. and it did not work lol. i just left them that plastoc color. i might get some clear spray paint and go over it.

alright well i just went to lowe's and did the same thing. the GT doorhandles are different but it still worked. i am painting them right now and than i will go put them on. i have to wait for my stepbro to get off work to take some pictures.

very nice how-to. easy to follow and it looks great. i spent 1.60 for the parts and i had to buy new razors so 2.90 total and it looks good

the door handles do not change from base to gt...they are exactly the same.

well i have no key hole on my right door and when i post pictures you will see exactly what i mean. maybe it's not the models maybe it;'s the years i d/k but mine look different
i have a base and don't have a keyhole on the passenger side either. and i just checked gmpartsdirect and for 07-08, they don't list a separate door handle between the base and the gt. maybe you just got something weird xander ;-)

Gonna do this soon.

whats the point? what if ur battery dies for the unlocker thing and you have to actually use your key lol. just shave off the door handles instead

You make absolutely no sense...

"What if your battery dies and you have to use the key to open your door? Shave the handle so there is NOTHING you can do if your remote battery dies..."

Dumb statement mister fake bumblebee...

ok easy now boys. I've got a bit of input on shaving door handles since I did it on my own truck.
First, those of us with remotes tend to make sure that there is a remote boost point that's not under a locked hood. doesn't do much good if you can't get power back to it. Second, lots of us will somewhere on the vehicle have a hidden point with an electrical button to pop the door should we ever end up high and dry with a dead battery in our remote. as a last resort, there are also many who have a hidden mechanical release as well (think cable) that will mechanically open the door. think outside the box, and a million doors will open for you.
